Помощник госсекретаря США по делам Европы и Евразии Виктория Нуланд в интервью телеканалу CNN подтвердила, что Вашингтон выделил 5 миллиардов долларов "на поддержку стремления народа Украины к более сильному, демократическому правительству".
"Эти деньги были потрачены на поддержку стремления народа Украины к более сильному, демократическому правительству, которое представляет их интересы", - сказала Виктория Нуланд.
Но при этом она подчеркнула, что США "определенно не тратили деньги на поддержку Майдана".
